Jawahar & Kurtas

Kurtas & Jawahars

The kurta is often looked at as something you only wear for pujas & festivals when it is able to do so much more than one can imagine. Its appeal is universal. Tall, short, skinny, buff, Indian or not, every man looks fabulous in a kurta. Like a crisp, white shirt, the kurta is a great dressy option for formal affairs as well as a stylish casual choice for everyday wear.

For Grooms
A traditional outfit and sharp tailoring can complement each other perfectly, like teaming a kurta with a slick, well- tailored bundi. Our fine concept, the great Indian waistcoat or bundi (an ethnic waistcoat) is a great way to upgrade the churidar-kurta for the occasion. Our specialists make sure, if the kurta has a busy pattern, bundi should be either solid or tone-on-tone embroidered and vice versa. This look is also pulled off by our PM N.Modi or Nehru Ji in past and is also the look of the moment.

This time again we have done an experiment with this outfit. We have designed this long thigh length bundi with a longer kurta & churidar to keep the baratis from outdoing groom. Another one, where we tailor a jacket over an embellished kurta or a jacket with an embellished lapel over a subtle kurta to add a little flourish to the ensemble.

For Baratis
Nothing beats a crisp kurta, whether it’s silk, cotton-silk, cotton, linen or khadi for close Indian gatherings. One can choose to team it up with just about anything – churidars, Aligarh pajamas, dhotis, linen pants or even jeans & it’s good to go. One can also club it with a silk dupatta to be more occasion appropriate.

Our experts take care of all kind of fabrics,if its earthy, organic or hand-woven feel it shall be worn on a simple kurta-churidar in reds, browns or greys. Sometimes, we keep the kurta plain, and take it to the next level with a vest in a riot of color to give you a modish look for the evening.
